The Chazy Union Free School District Board of Education voted May 13 to approve an NYSPHSAA Section VII application to combine teams with Beekmantown Central School District for Boys Modified Football for the 2025–26 season.
The motion was moved by Board Member Lee Barcomb and seconded by Mary LaPierre. The paperwork authorizes the Superintendent and the Board President to sign the NYSPHSAA application. Board minutes record that the district will incur no additional cost beyond routine league administrative fees.
Board members framed the vote as a student-opportunity decision to ensure sufficient participation for the fall season. The motion carried unanimously; no amendments or conditions were recorded during the discussion.
