Superintendent Dr. Cochran told the board the district's average daily attendance is “just right at 96%” and that total enrollment is 2,547 students. He also said the middle school reached a 97% attendance rate. The remarks were delivered during the superintendent's report portion of the Nov. 13 meeting.
Dr. Cochran also reported a groundbreaking ceremony that day for the district's CTE Center and that permits have been issued to begin earthwork for the new middle school. Those construction updates were listed as part of the superintendent's monthly report; the board later approved related project funding and a contract authorization for a gym lobby.
