The board authorized the superintendent or designee to negotiate, execute and amend, as necessary, the sale of real property and easement agreements with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) concerning property at the Hudson Bend Middle School site for the RM 620 project. Trustees were informed that TxDOT communicated the need to acquire property and that the project includes reconfiguration of nearby parking and septic drainage fields.
Trustee Keely Cano moved to grant negotiation authority and Trustee Kim Flasch seconded; following Trustee Phillip Davis’s arrival the motion carried 7–0. The authorization allows the superintendent to make offers contingent upon future board approval and to finalize conveyance documentation once terms are acceptable to the district.
