Board approves $4.56 million Hellas contract to install synthetic turf at Lake Travis athletic fields

At its Sept. 18 meeting the Lake Travis ISD Board of Trustees approved construction contracts with Hellas Construction, Inc. for synthetic turf installations serving baseball, softball, golf practice and a multipurpose field. The negotiated A101 and A201 contracts total $4,560,973, and the administration recommended approval in accordance with district purchasing policy CV (Local) for contracts above $100,000.
Trustee Rob Aird moved to approve the execution of the A101 and A201 contracts and Trustee Keely Cano seconded. The motion passed by a vote of 6–0 according to the meeting record. Trustees authorized the superintendent or designee to execute and amend the contracts as necessary.
