LTISD staff review TASB policy Updates 121–123; board to consider changes at Sept. 18 meeting

Key subjects covered in the packet and presentation include updates to accounting (CFB) based on GASB guidance; rearrangement and clarification of security-personnel policies including commissioned peace officers (CKE/CKEA); food and nutrition procurement (CO/COA); updated compensation language to clarify pay frequency (DEA); attendance rules regarding career-investigation days (FEA); opioid antagonist availability and training for campuses (FFAC); accelerated-instruction requirements (EHBCA) following HB 1416; cybersecurity incident and breach notification (CQB) consistent with SB 271; and new facility safety audit and building access-control guidance (CSA). Staff noted some policy templates are offered at no charge by TASB and that several items would return to the board for action at the Sept. 18 meeting.
