Lampasas ISD board names WRA top-ranked for districtwide design services, authorizes negotiations

The Lampasas ISD Board of Education voted unanimously on Dec. 9, 2024 to accept the Facility Committees recommended rankings for design firms responding to the districts Request for Qualifications for districtwide renovation projects. The motion, made by Sam Walker and seconded by Randy Morris, named WRA as the most highly qualified firm for districtwide renovation projects.
The board also authorized the administration to attempt to negotiate an agreement with the top-ranked firm (WRA). If administration cannot negotiate a fair and reasonable price with the top-ranked firm, the board authorized terminating negotiations with that firm and beginning negotiations with the next most highly ranked firm, continuing that process until an agreement is reached or the list is exhausted. The motion passed with all board members present voting "Yes."
