The Lampasas Independent School District Board of Education approved Consent Agenda No. 7634 at its Jan. 13, 2025 regular meeting after a motion by Trustee Randy Morris and a second from Trustee Sam Walker. The motion covered routine minutes and fiscal items, personnel notifications, election agreements and several administrative approvals; all board members present voted yes.
The items approved included the minutes of the Dec. 9, 2024 board meeting and a budget amendment. The board recorded notifications of resignations: Ginger Curtis, HSE assistant principal, effective May 30, 2025; Kristi Dennis, KWE teacher, effective May 19, 2025; Stephanie Spacek, Lampasas Middle School teacher, effective Jan. 16, 2025; and James Sturgeon, LMS teacher, effective Dec. 20, 2024. The consent motion also confirmed selections for 2024-2025 (Dakota Matthews, Madelyn Miller and James Sturgeon) and granted a district teaching permit to Dakota Matthews for CTE courses.
Administrative and intergovernmental items approved included a Joint Election Agreement with the City of Lampasas and an Election Services Agreement with Lampasas County for the May 3, 2025 trustee election, appointments to the LHS Alumni Scholarship Fund Committee (Amy Davis, Blair Stoneham and Judy Whitis), participation in the Region 10 ESC Child Nutrition Multi-Region Purchasing Cooperative Program, and a resolution for bond expense reimbursement. The board also reviewed the results of the intruder detection audit; the minutes record that the audit was reviewed but do not specify findings or follow-up actions in the public minutes.
