Business official reports audit timing, tax uploads and unanticipated revenue

Denise Wist, the district's School Business Official, reported several finance and audit items at the Sept. 4 meeting. She said the district is finishing up the external audit and that an internal audit was not required this year. Wist announced that the Audit Committee is planned to meet Oct. 2 at 6:30 PM to review the audit.
Wist also told the Board that school tax uploads are complete and payments are coming in, that staff are preparing for the first payroll next Friday, and that she had shared a revenue report which showed some unanticipated earnings. The July 2025 Treasurer's and financial reports were acknowledged on the consent agenda.
The finance update provided the Board with near‑term dates for audit review and payroll processing and signaled that revenues are tracking above earlier expectations in at least one line item, according to Wist's remarks.
