Superintendent TheriJo Snyder gave a facilities update at the Aug. 7 meeting, listing near-term and longer-term items in the district capital program. She said the bus garage parking lot should be completed by the start of school; playground reconstruction is planned for spring; tennis courts work is done; classroom window replacements are expected to begin in one to two weeks; lockers and bleachers are scheduled for October; and "the generator is 56 weeks out."
Snyder also noted the district expects to install a Blue Light System next week. Board members did not record amendments to the project schedule at the meeting; timing for some items depends on contractor schedules and procurement lead times, most notably the long lead time for the generator.
