Superintendent TheriJo Snyder gave the Board a detailed capital-project update at the Sept. 4 meeting, outlining a phased schedule for facility work and safety upgrades. She said the elementary stairwell needs adjustment, work on the parking lot will finish last with the bus‑garage lot next week, interior lockers and stairs are planned for October–November, and bleachers are expected in November.
Snyder said the Blue Light emergency system will be activated shortly and that elementary window repairs will occur after 3:00 PM to minimize classroom disruption. She added that playground equipment has been expanded and installation will begin in spring. "The generator now has a shorter delivery expectation of 36/38 weeks," Snyder told trustees, and she said doors and the bus‑garage furnace will be addressed once parking is completed.
The update gave board members timing and sequencing for remaining work and set expectations for follow-up as items move from exterior paving into interior projects. The schedule and the generator timeline provide the district and contractors a window for coordination with school operations during the fall semester.
