Board approves certifications, hires, resignations and tenure actions
Summary
The board certified two staff as NYSED lead evaluators, accepted resignations, and approved several appointments and tenure actions including classroom teachers, a cleaner and a school counselor with effective dates in August and September 2025.
The board certified Kevin Keane and Rachel Wright as lead evaluators under Education Law §3012-d and the district's APPR plan. The board accepted the resignation of Jeffrey Sanders, Building Maintenance Mechanic, effective July 7, 2025, and accepted Beth Spaulding's resignation as an elementary teacher effective Sept. 1, 2025 so she may be appointed to a probationary special-education position.
Appointments approved include Desiree Crewell (Cleaner, probationary through July 3, 2026), Katelyn Pasternak (part-time aide effective Aug. 27, 2025), Lauren Dunckel (teacher aide probationary), September Schecter (Social Studies 7-12 on tenure effective Aug. 31, 2025), Kristie Fassett (elementary tenure effective Aug. 31, 2025), Lindsay Monser (Licensed TA tenure), and Amber VanScooter (school counselor tenure effective Aug. 2, 2025). The board also approved lists of substitute support staff and substitute teachers for 2025–26.
