District affirms participation in federal meal programs and sets 2025–26 prices

The Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School District board passed a resolution on July 10 confirming its participation in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for Sept. 1, 2025–June 30, 2026. The resolution notes the district's responsibility to implement free and reduced-price meal determinations for eligible children.
The board set meal pricing effective Sept. 1, 2025: student breakfast $1.25; adult main breakfast $1.50 plus tax; a complete adult breakfast $3.00 plus tax; student lunch $1.50; adult main lunch $3.00 plus tax; a complete adult lunch $5.31 plus tax; and a carton of milk $0.50. During visitor recognition a member of the public asked whether breakfasts and lunches would continue to be free for students; the board confirmed they would.
