Board accepts retirements and approves staff appointments, tutors and extracurricular slate
Summary
The board accepted a retirement and resignation, terminated one employee, appointed Rachel Wright to tenure as Elementary Principal effective June 30, and approved multiple hires, tutors and an extensive list of extracurricular and advisor assignments for 2025–26.
The board accepted the retirement of Licensed Teacher Assistant Diane Kroon, effective June 30, 2025, and accepted the resignation of long-term substitute aide Chloe Thalheimer effective June 6, 2025. The board also adopted a termination for Gregory Andersen, Cleaner, effective June 17, 2025.
On administration recommendations, the board appointed Rachel Wright to tenure as Elementary Principal/Curriculum Coordinator effective June 30, 2025. Holly McLean was appointed to an LPN/Aide position for a probationary period (June 12, 2025–June 12, 2026), and Joslyn Mabie and Kristie Fassett were appointed as summer tutors. Resignations, re-appointments and seniority reinstatement were recorded, including re-appointing Cassie Clegg (probationary Sept. 1, 2025–Sept. 1, 2027) and reinstating Ashlee Cornelia to a Licensed Teacher Assistant position with prior seniority restored.
The board also approved Resolution 13, an extensive list of extracurricular assignments for the 2025–26 school year naming coaches, class advisors, club sponsors, chaperones and other roles. Motion for the consent agenda and the individual personnel resolutions carried unanimously.
