Board elects Ellen Johnson president, fills slate of district offices for 2025–26

The Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School District Board of Education convened its reorganizational meeting July 10, 2025, and elected Ellen Johnson as board president after a nomination by April Aramini and a second by Megan Bosc. The board also elected A. Aramini as vice president; both elections were unanimous.
The board approved a comprehensive slate of district officers and designees by motion (moved by A. Aramini, seconded by E. Seeley). Appointments included Laura Carson as District Clerk and Board Secretary; Denise Wist as District Treasurer/School Business Official; Ginger Thayer as Tax Collector and Purchasing Agent; Bonadio Group as auditor; Shannon Rockwell as claims auditor; David Mayton as asbestos designee/records retention officer; Rachel Wright as chief information officer and McKinney-Vento liaison; and TheriJo Snyder as Data Privacy Officer. The motion carried unanimously. These appointments will govern administrative responsibilities for the 2025–2026 school year.
