"Mr. Edwards presented a Public Hearing in connection with a proposed one-time payment to eligible employees of either $1,000 for part-time and $2,000 for full-time," the minutes state. The board approved the resolution and authorized the superintendent to cause payments to be made in the amount contemplated by the attached schedule, payable in November 2024.
The board attached a Schedule A that defines eligibility as employees employed by the district on Aug. 1, 2024 and still employed on Nov. 1, 2024. The schedule specifies distributions by Nov. 15, 2024 where practical, and states these payments are not TRS‑eligible. The resolution frames the payments as intended to promote retention and recognize employees who continued district operations under adverse conditions.
Trustee Dean Campbell made the approving motion, seconded by Jeff Kuykendall; the vote was unanimous. The action followed the public hearing and paperwork included in the board packet outlining the amounts and eligibility conditions.
