Students describe volunteer work; principals outline testing and end-of-year events

Five students addressed the board to describe their volunteer activities, what they gained from volunteering and their future plans. Student Liaison Hannah Sheldon reported that the Student Council recently held elections and is planning Homecoming for next year; when asked about the prom she said it "was fun."
Secondary Principal Kevin Keane told the board regents exams will begin in three weeks, and noted the awards ceremony on June 13 followed by a kickball event. Elementary Principal Rachel Wright said grades 3-8 state testing is finished, that 18 PreK packets have been returned and that if additional PreK families submit packets the district will maintain a wait list. Wright also thanked teachers for the Art Show.
