Oconto County establishes phone redundancy with Lumen and WiscNet

County technology staff reported the county now has phone redundancy via Lumen and WiscNet to maintain service if Lumen/Brightspeed is disrupted, according to March 11 committee minutes.
Technology Services Director Melissa Schwaller told the committee the county has established redundancy for its phone service to reduce the risk of outages.
"We now have redundancy on our phones with Lumen & WiscNet if Lumen/Brightspeed goes down," Schwaller said. The change was described as an operational continuity improvement to ensure county phone service remains available during provider outages.
Committee members received the update as informational; no action or additional funding was requested during the meeting.
