Oconto County installs FortiGate firewall; to begin radio tower network testing for S2 system

At the March 11 meeting Technology Services Director Melissa Schwaller reported that the county completed a security upgrade to its internal network firewall earlier that month.
"On March 4, we replaced our internal security firewall with our 100F FortiGate. All services have been restored. We have been waiting on this firewall to start testing the radio tower network for the S2 system," Schwaller said. She indicated the replacement was necessary to proceed with planned radio-network testing tied to the county's S2 system.
The committee received the report as informational; no vote or additional funding action was requested during the meeting.
