The Public Safety Committee of the Oconto County Board of Supervisors approved a $16,000 account carry-over for the Clerk of Courts on March 11, 2026.
Clerk of Courts Trisha LeFebre told the committee that a nine-day jury trial originally expected in 2025 was rescheduled into 2026 and that remaining 2025 jury line items totaling $16,000 were needed to cover expenses. Motion by Tracy Ondik, second by Don Bartels Jr., to approve the carry-over; the motion was voted on and carried.
Committee members treated the request as routine fiscal housekeeping and moved it through without additional conditions. The action ensures the Clerk of Courts has budget authority to pay costs associated with the rescheduled trial in 2026.
