Kami Finger briefed the committee on alternative learning pathways available to students who are credit-deficient or need flexible scheduling. Finger described five pathways, access through traditional campuses or Dupre Academy, and supports including behavioral staff, counselors and special-education teams to help with transitions.
Staff said Dupre seat allocations are capped at 150 and that "Currently, about 90 students are enrolled," the highest start-of-year total so far. Students returning from juvenile justice programs receive separate bi-weekly review for placement, and Dupre students can be dually enrolled at the Advanced Technology Center to pursue career and technical education alongside credit recovery or alternate learning plans.
