The vote followed extensive public comment from neighbors who said notice was short and expressed concerns about traffic on Old 26 Road and loss of farmland. Chris Johnson told the Board, "Would like to request a roll call of votes. Asks Board votes no on 15 & 16." Chair Kim Cheney noted the action before the Board was a preliminary rezone and that subsequent subdivision steps follow the standard process. The Board approved the rezone and conditional use as preliminary land‑use steps; engineering, survey, and final plat approvals remain to come.
