Selectboard advances procurement and personnel policy updates; third reading scheduled

The Selectboard reviewed ordinance and policy updates during the July 27 meeting. Town Administrator Gregory Faust said he had updated the Procurement Policy draft following feedback from Selectboard member Michelle Perlee; the board expects to receive a final draft for a third reading and possible adoption at the next meeting.
Faust also presented a first reading of the Personnel Policy updates, which include several statutory-required sections and clarified language outlining the option for employees to receive overtime pay or compensatory time when allowable. Michelle Perlee requested a follow-up meeting with Faust to clarify comp-time calculations, and Faust said staff will be asked to review the draft. Drug and alcohol testing provisions were noted as included where appropriate.
