The Bristol Selectboard on July 27 authorized the Road Foreman to accept a Pike Industries bid of $68,921.12 to install a top layer of pavement on Pine Street. Public Works Foreman Eric Cota said the road should be completed this season after two winters of settling; consultant Jill Marsano outlined coordination needs tied to ongoing water-line work.
Board members confirmed that funds are available in the Paving Reserve. Joel Bouvier moved to authorize acceptance of the bid; Jessica Teets seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Eric Cota also proposed using 1" shims to spot-treat other local roads and said he will provide a list of suggested locations.
