Magnolia ISD approves land exchange and 100-acre purchase for future facilities
Summary

The board approved a resolution authorizing an exchange of an approximately 10-acre tract along FM 1486 (south of SH 249) for an approximately 16-acre tract located within the Colton master-planned community, adjacent to the proposed Woodard Ranch development. The resolution was adopted May 12 and recorded in the minutes.
Separately, trustees approved the purchase of approximately 100 acres along the east line of FM 1486 (north of SH 249) between Crown Ranch Boulevard/Sequin Trail to the north and Kresston Parkway/Magnolia Springs Drive to the south for use by the district for facilities including a planned third high school. Both real-property actions were approved by roll-call vote during the meeting.
