District approves UT Austin cybersecurity interlocal and Burnet County interlocal for transportation improvements

Nathan Fink presented a proposed interlocal with the University of Texas at Austin to provide the district with a suite of cybersecurity services at no cost, including email security, endpoint protection, dark web monitoring, malicious DNS blocking, and penetration testing. The Board voted to enter the interlocal agreement. Mr. Fink noted participation only requires the district to execute the interlocal.
Separately, in executive session the Board discussed and then approved an Interlocal Agreement with Burnet County for improvements to real property related to student transportation and safety. The Board delegated authority to the superintendent to negotiate the agreement in form approved by legal counsel and delegated authority to the Board President to execute necessary documents.
