Following an executive session on personnel matters, the Marfa ISD Board unanimously accepted the immediate resignation of Trustee Yolanda Jurado (Place 3). Board Secretary Rene Gonzales moved to accept the resignation and Board Member Ruben Martinez seconded; "The motion carried 5-0."
Trustees then held a discussion to determine the process to replace the vacant Place 3 seat; that item was noted as "discussion only" and no appointment, special election timeline, or interim appointment was recorded in the meeting minutes. The board instructed that the replacement process will be determined at a future meeting.
