Board approves pay increases, raises starting teacher salary to $57,000

"So these are some things that we're proposing. We're proposing a 4% salary increase for teachers, librarians, and nurses, those on the salary scale," Dr. Tinsley said during the presentation. The presenter also described benefits-rate changes and noted minor corrections to step calculations would be fixed before implementation. Following trustee questions and a motion to approve, the board approved the compensation plan by voice vote.
