Environmental health reports: rabies contacts, lead inquiries and housing complaints recorded

Marquette County environmental health staff reported June and July contacts including rabies follow-ups, lead contacts, well-water testing, housing complaints, and a July spike in county inspections.
Environmental Specialist Jessica Jungenberg presented environmental health activity for June and July, detailing rabies contacts, lead follow-ups, well-water testing and housing complaints.
For June Jungenberg reported: "12 contacts-rabies program, 4 quarantine orders, 4 released from quarantine. 3 well water tests. 16 lead contacts, 2 radon testing kits and 2 kennel contacts. 8 housing contacts regarding concerns of mold and moisture, information on condemned property, and a property in poor conditions." For July she said there were "10 contacts-rabies program, 3 quarantine orders, 2 released from quarantine. 1 well water test. 1 lead contact, 0 radon testing kits, and 3 kennel contacts. 1 housing contact regarding a failed septic and needing assistance with funding."
Jungenberg also reported on inspections under the agent status program: June had 4 Marquette County inspections and 5 pre-inspections (0 Green Lake County inspections); July had 39 Marquette County inspections, 1 re-inspection, 3 pre-inspections and 5 Green Lake County inspections. Board members asked clarifying questions about housing complaints and funding assistance for failed septic systems.
