Marquette County’s Baby 101 community event, described by Public Health Nurse Jessica DeRosier, drew 53 adults and 23 children from three counties and featured 18 vendors.
"This event wouldn't be possible without the Pregnancy Outreach Grant and donations from local churches and community members," DeRosier said. The event functions as an educational resource paired with a baby/toddler item giveaway and includes door prizes and raffle baskets for adults who complete a survey.
Organizers said attendance doubled compared with 2024. The program is geared toward people who are pregnant, thinking of becoming parents, or who care for a child under age one.
