Medina ISD swears in two trustees; board recommends new officers

The Medina Independent School District Board of Trustees swore in two new trustees during its Nov. 18 regular meeting at the Medina ISD Administration Building Conference Room. President Andy Lautzenheiser called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., and the minutes record that LaNek Sides and Sarah Holcomb "took the School Board Oath of Office."
After the oaths, the board reorganized its officers. LaNek Sides moved to recommend Brad Zirkel as School Board President; Brian Hill seconded the motion and it carried 7-0. Brian Hill moved to recommend David Derry as School Board Vice President; LaNek Sides seconded and the motion carried 7-0. David Derry moved to recommend Thomas Wickham as School Board Secretary; Sarah Holcomb seconded and the motion carried 7-0. The minutes record unanimous votes for each recommendation.
