Marshall ISD trustees approve consent agenda including donations and financial reports

The Marshall ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda as presented at the Sept. 16 meeting. The consent package included minutes from Aug. 15, Aug. 19 and Aug. 27 meetings; an update to board operating procedures; and finance items including several in-kind donations earmarked for the district attendance incentive program.
Donations recorded in the minutes include a $500 Starbucks gift-card donation from Susie Byrd, a $50 gift-card donation from Valvoline Express Care, a 50" TV valued at $200 from Gucci's Pizza, $130 in fast-food gift cards from Bettye and Leroy Fisher, and $100 in gift cards from Nico's Superior Pools. The minutes also note presentation of financial reports for multiple funds for August 2024. Trustee Chase Palmer moved to approve the consent agenda; Trustee Bettye Fisher seconded the motion and the board voted 7–0 to adopt the consent items.
