At the Sept. 16 meeting, Lee Flowers, chief appraiser with the Harrison Central Appraisal District, provided the board with an update on the district's current property tax status. The minutes list the appraisal-district presentation under administrative reports and note the appraisal district as the source for the tax-status update.
Superintendent Dr. Richele Langley used her report to introduce Nate Carter as the newly appointed principal of Marshall Junior High and to announce a Special Called Meeting set for Oct. 3 at noon to select a contractor for the stadium renovation after staff review of submitted bids. The board did not take a vote on tax policy at the meeting; the item was presented for information and scheduling.
