Commission signs letters appointing members to Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board

Economic Development Director Tina Cochran presented a letter appointing five members—Steve Brier, Scott Buerge, Tom Hissink, Gary Irwin, and Alan Leimkuehler—to the Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board under RSMo 135.957 and Vernon County Ordinance #41; Nevada R‑5 School District and the City of Nevada will appoint additional representatives.
Tina Cochran, Vernon County Economic Development Director, presented the commission with a letter appointing Steve Brier, Scott Buerge, Tom Hissink, Gary Irwin and Alan Leimkuehler to serve five‑year terms on the Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board pursuant to RSMo 135.957 and Vernon County Ordinance #41. Cochran said the Nevada R‑5 School District will appoint Jay Sloniker and the City of Nevada will name a representative for remaining tax districts.
Cochran also reported on the CORI Initiative and said Build VCMO will receive a report within the next two weeks; she described attending a webinar on Opportunity Zones to inform county strategy. The commission signed the letter presented by Cochran during the meeting.
