The Maypearl Independent School District Board of Trustees on Oct. 24 approved a $118,867.30 payment from 2023 bond funds to remove electrical service from HILCO Co-op to support the planned high school expansion. The motion was made by Jarod Wright and seconded by Committee member James Eubank; all trustees voted in favor.
Superintendent Ritchie Bowling had briefed the board earlier on bond construction and impacts to existing campuses. Board members asked staff to confirm scope and costs; the board approved the payment to keep the expansion timeline on track. Staff indicated the expense will come from the district’s 2023 bond allocation and was presented to trustees as a single line-item payment.
