Midway trustees honor students, staff and community partners for state-level achievements

The Board also acknowledged UIL academic qualifiers in debate and science, SkillsUSA state qualifiers and medalists, Woodway Elementary's designation as an Apple Distinguished School, and MHS athletes who placed at UIL State Track & Field. Castleman Creek Elementary teacher GayAnna Wagner received the Extra Mile Award for long-term service in special education, and James Castellano with Horace Mann was named Friend of Midway for ongoing community partnership.
The recognitions were ceremonial and part of the Board's regular meeting agenda; no formal actions were required.
