McCamey ISD board tables several administrative agreements, discusses ESSA grant intent

During regular business the board tabled multiple administrative items for future consideration. The 2026-2027 Interlocal Agreement with Region 11 Education Service Center for Technology Resources and Library Management Services was tabled, as was consideration of a General Legal Services Agreement with Sara Leon / Alcala, PLLC. Separately, a proposed Upton County Appraisal District budget amendment that would retain McCamey ISD's refund of $12,720.85 for use toward appraisal-district expenditures including a new building was also tabled.
Board members also discussed and recorded the district's intent to apply for 2026-2027 federal ESSA grant funding, but no vote or authorization to submit the application was taken at the meeting. These items will return to a future agenda for further action or clarification.
