McCamey ISD board adopts official 2024'25 estimated budget

The McCamey Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the district's Official 2024'25 Estimated Budget after a public hearing and presentation on Aug. 28, 2024. Assistant Superintendent of Financial Services Kalum McKay reviewed changes since the July 30 budget workshop prior to the board's vote.
The approved budget covers multiple fund functions, including Fund 199, Fund 101 and several federal funds (211 series, 255, 289, 270, 429) and cooperative Fund 437. Trustee Ramon Venegas made the motion to approve the budget and Trustee Gerard Renteria seconded; the motion carried with votes from President Charlotte Jones, Venegas, Amber Selby, Renteria and Sarah Acosta (5'00). The approval authorizes district spending and fund allocations for the 2024'25 school year and provides staff direction for implementation and accounting.
