Maypearl ISD board adopts resolution to pay employees for Jan. 9–10 storm closures

The Maypearl Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to adopt a resolution authorizing wage payments for employees for emergency school closings that occurred on Jan. 9–10, 2025, due to inclement weather. Motioned by Adam Smith and seconded by Jeremy Norman, the resolution carried with all members present voting in favor; Trustee Jarod Wright was absent for the vote.

Board President Tricia Ikard announced the motion during open session after the board reconvened from executive session.
