Zach Olivas, project manager with Great River Engineering, informed the commission that contractors encountered problems removing part of the old Infantry Pass bridge and that the planned supports for the new bridge need to be shifted six feet to the east. Olivas said he will send a drawing and a change order to the commission office for review and signature.
The minutes record the operational challenge and the expected paperwork; no motion or vote was recorded at the meeting. The change order will modify the contractor’s work and may affect schedule or cost pending review and signature by the commission.
