The board voted 7-0 to appoint Alicia Bazan as Principal of Leal Elementary (motion by Jerry Zamora, seconded by Iris Iglesias), Hilda Elizondo as Assistant Principal of Mims Elementary (motion by Dolores Reyna, seconded by Iris Iglesias), and Monica Mendoza as the district's LIFT Coordinator (motion by Jerry Zamora, seconded by Dolores Reyna). The minutes note Beto Garza joined the meeting at 7:48 p.m., and the votes on these items were recorded as unanimous (Yea: 7, Nay: 0).
