Nacogdoches ISD board upholds previous ruling, denies Level III employee grievance 7–0

The Nacogdoches ISD Board of Trustees voted 7'0 on Oct. 24, 2024, to uphold the assistant superintendent's Level II decision and deny a Level III employee grievance appeal. Trustee Mindy Winslow made the motion to uphold the earlier decision and Trustee James Montoya seconded; the roll call showed seven yeas and no nays.
The grievance hearing took place in executive session, beginning at 6:57 p.m. and concluding at 7:33 p.m., after which the Board returned to open session at 7:47 p.m. District representatives at the hearing included Deputy Superintendent Michael Martin and district counsel Kelli Karczewski. The Board took the formal vote in open session; the motion to deny the appeal passed unanimously.
