Navarro ISD board adopts 2024–25 District and Campus Improvement Plans

The Navarro ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously Sept. 16 to adopt the 2024–25 District Improvement Plan and Campus Improvement Plans after a presentation by Chief Academic Officer Wendy McMullen. McMullen said the DEIC needs assessments prioritized Student Achievement; Student Culture and Climate; Staff Quality and Retention; Family and Community Engagement; School Context and Organization; and Technology.
McMullen reported Title I eligibility percentages by campus: Elementary 48.5%, Intermediate 45.4%, Junior High 43%, and Navarro High School 37.3%. The approved plans include ongoing PLC implementation, alignment of instructional programs across campuses, common assessments and customized interventions and professional development tailored to student needs.
Board member Lacey Gosch moved to approve the district and campus plans and Dan Reinhard seconded; the motion passed 5-0. The district posted the plans on the NISD Academic Services web page for public review.
