The Needville ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously Sept. 17 to approve the schematic design presented by Claycomb Associates Inc. for additions and renovations to Needville High School. The approval was recorded with a 7-0 vote after a motion from Trustee Scott Valchar and a second from Trustee Chantz Klemstein.
Board President Chris Janicek opened the meeting and confirmed a quorum, saying, “Let the record show that a quorum of the Needville ISD Board members is present, and that this meeting has been posted in accordance with Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.” The schematic-design approval was listed on the agenda under Construction Update and was approved as presented. The board did not record additional discussion on the public transcript before the vote.
The schematic design was presented by Claycomb Associates Inc. as the proposed plan for the high school additions and renovations. The motion to approve was moved by Scott Valchar, seconded by Chantz Klemstein, and the vote was recorded as Ayes‑7, Nays‑0.
