Instruction chief outlines HB 3 goals, CCMR outcomes bonus and new fentanyl-prevention instruction

Dr. Tracy Stone presented the Instruction & Learning update during the Oct. 21 board meeting, summarizing state-driven requirements and local curriculum work. She highlighted alignment with HB 3 Board Goals and introduced a new CCMR Outcomes Bonus report intended to measure graduates' college, career and military readiness for funding eligibility.
Stone told trustees the district will implement state-required annual instruction on fentanyl-abuse prevention for students in grades 6–12. She also outlined assessment and curriculum work: completion of beginning-of-year (BOY) testing, fall benchmark preparations, planned December EOC retesting, effective roll-out of new science materials, K–5 ELA scope updates, and library-collection reviews to comply with HB 900.
