Smith noted the district’s limited liability for off-campus incidents and said disciplinary issues during the trip could affect a student’s eligibility to participate in graduation stage activities. The board approved the trip by motion with a unanimous vote, 7-0. Board members also instructed that required permission forms and conduct agreements be distributed to parents in the coming weeks.
