Pampa ISD holds required public hearing on preliminary TAPR; final report to be posted

The board held a public hearing on the district’s annual performance report after Abby Hancock, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, told trustees the preliminary 2024–25 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) was recently released by the Texas Education Agency. Hancock said state statute requires the board to hold the hearing within 90 calendar days of receiving the report; the district must widely publish the annual report within two weeks following the public meeting.
Hancock listed components of the annual report including the TAPR, PEIMS Financial Standard Report, district accreditation status, campus performance objectives, violent or criminal incidents reports, student performance in postsecondary institutions, and progress toward board-adopted HB 3 goals. Board President Richard Qualls asked for public comment; no members of the public spoke during the hearing.
