Board approves Perkins & Will design to fix water intrusion at LFHS East Campus

“This is to waterproof across the front of Lake Forest High School East Campus,” a staff member explained during the item presentation, noting the design work will proceed to construction specs and a competitive bid before any on-site construction begins. Trustees and staff said the intent is to correct water intrusion before renovating lower-level classrooms that are affected.
The board approved the item by roll call. Staff described the work as foundation waterproofing to prevent damage during heavy rains; the design-to-bid approach will allow the district to seek competitive contractor pricing and coordinate with Pepper Construction.
