Matt, superintendent, told the board that a small group from District 67 and Lake Forest CHSD 115 visited Google’s Mountain View campus and Stanford to study artificial intelligence and its implications for K‑12 instruction and assessment. “It was an incredible visit,” he said, and staff plan to synthesize the material into a district update.
Matt said 8 or 9 participants — instructional directors and other staff — attended sessions covering topics from academic integrity and collegiate‑level cheating concerns to robotics and medical advances. The group will produce a summary for a future board presentation describing what the district gleaned and potential areas to integrate into programming and instruction.
The report did not propose immediate policy changes; the superintendent framed the trip as exploratory and said district leaders will present recommendations once they complete their synthesis. The board did not take action during the meeting.
