Board approves minutes, Agrilife extension and consulting agreement in unanimous votes

The Ore City ISD Board of Trustees approved routine items by unanimous vote during the Sept. 15 meeting. A motion to approve the minutes of the Aug. 25, 2025 meeting, made by Bobby Byrd and seconded by Virginia Harris, passed 7‑0. Trustees then approved an Agrilife Extension by the same vote pattern (motion by Bobby Byrd; second by Virginia Harris).
Later in the meeting trustees voted 7‑0 to approve a Professional Consulting Agreement as presented. The board also scheduled a special meeting for Monday, Oct. 6, 2025 to discuss Site Base Committee Meeting items, a new sign, Perdue, legislative updates, new lighting and elementary updates; the regular October meeting is set for Oct. 27, 2025.
