Board reviews security audit schedule, considers replacing Raptor with CrisisGo

Ore City ISD trustees heard an update on upcoming safety reviews and visitor‑management systems during their Sept. 15 meeting. Central office staff member Billy Rogers said the district’s largest security audit is scheduled for Nov. 19 and that required reports must be uploaded to the state Sentinel system. He also said the intruder audit is due in October 2025 and the district’s three‑year safety and security audit is due in 2026.
Rogers told the board the district has experienced a “series of problems” with the current Raptor visitor‑management system and is looking into replacing it with CrisisGo. He said CrisisGo would operate through computers, phones and the intercom and would be more user‑friendly for substitutes. No procurement decision or timeline was finalized at the meeting; staff said they are pursuing updates to required security reports and correcting any deficiencies ahead of the audits.
